AERODYNAMIC TUNNEL

Elsaco Solutions has built in collaboration with the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University one of the most performing wind tunnels in Europe.
Our collaboration aimed at developing the research and development infrastructure of the university. It consisted of many projects over time, such as the modernization of the old stationary wind tunnel, the delivery and commissioning of a weather station or wind turbine, and culminated in the construction of a new stationary wind tunnel.
Using the non-stationary tunnel, a series of experimental researches of non-stationary aerodynamics of wind turbines will be carried out – thus joining the development of new technologies in this field.

MF-TA4 TUNNEL – ELSACO

Closed circuit wind tunnel, double return, with controlled cooling; the tunnel is capable of operating both stationary and non-stationary; can simulate non-stationary atmospheric currents with variable amplitude, in the frequency range 0-25 Hz; can simulate wind gusts; continuously adjustable working speed in the range 0-40 m / s; octagonal working section with equivalent diameter Dech = 1.9 m (2.83 m2); contraction report 9; installed power 150 kW; boundary layer control system; auxiliary equipment.

MF-TA1 TUNNEL – ELSACO

Low turbulent stationary wind turbine in closed circuit, with controlled cooling; continuously adjustable speed in the range 0 ÷ 80 m / s; octagonal work section with an area of ​​0.48 m2; form factor √2; contraction report 9; installed power 90 kW.
